Treasury Pick Says ‘82 DUI Was Dismissed

A White House official said the sons were living with [John W. Snow], and that he was paying for private school and living expenses. The questionnaire said Snow told the court that to the extent he owed unpaid child support in the case of one son, “it had been more than offset by” educational costs. The questionnaire said the court dismissed the claims with the exception of the ex-wife’s allegation that he owed 19 months of child support as well as transportation and allowance costs while the son was at college.

Snow, 63, said at the time of his nomination that he would resign from Augusta National Golf Club, which has no female members. He joined in 1993. The questionnaire indicates Snow resigned last year from the all-male Commonwealth Club of Richmond, which barred blacks until 1988. Snow said he joined in 1981.
