The ball’s in Bob Huggins’ court now. The University of Cincinnati basketball coach has to decide to let his DUI conviction be a wakeup call for a change in his behavior. That’s what Andrea Rehkamp, executive director of the Southwest Ohio Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, had to say after watching Huggins’ appearance Tuesday night in Fairfax Mayor’s Court. As a celebrity, as someone who people look up to, he has a moral obligation never to drive drunk again, Rehkamp said. Pennington Pleads No Contest to DUI
Ty Pennington, host of ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," pleaded no contest Friday in a misdemeanor drunken driving case. Pennington, 42, had been charged with two misdemeanor counts _ driving with a blood-alcohol level above the 0.08 percent limit and driving under the influence of alcohol. He pleaded no contest to the first count and the other count was dismissed, said Frank Mateljan, a spokesman for the city attorney's office. Stockard Channing Pleads No Contest to DUI
Actress Stockard Channing (search) pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor drunken driving charge stemming from an incident last year on the Hollywood Freeway. Channing, 61, who won an Emmy for her role as the first lady on NBC's "The West Wing," (search) was ordered to pay a $390 fine and take part in an alcohol education program after pleading no contest (search) Thursday, said Frank Mateljan, a spokesman for the city attorney's office. She was also placed on 36 months of probation, Mateljan said. The actress was arrested Dec. 14 after allegedly trying to drive around a roadblock set up so a
