The Glendale branch of the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office Wednesday charged relief pitcher Guillermo Mota with two misdemeanors stemming from an alcohol-related arrest, an office spokesperson said. Mota, whose blood-alcohol level was measured at .12, according to a law enforcement official, is scheduled to be arraigned June 17 in Glendale Superior Court. The Dodgers that day play host to the San Francisco Giants, so Mota is not expected to attend because a plea can be entered on his behalf. Mota has no prior record, the spokesperson said, so he probably would not face further incarceration. Under normal circumstances, first-time offenders are fined, given probation and ordered to attend DUI programs. Source : pqasb.pqarchiver.com |
